The agreement between you and Everysale, including how your data is handled.
Everysale is operated by Daniel Metodiev, an individual based in Bulgaria. Installing the app in your Shopify store means accepting these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app; nothing is kept afterwards beyond the period described below.
Your books are yours. This app is a tool for keeping them, not an accountant and not tax advice: nominating the right accounts, choosing the tax treatment of payout fees, and reviewing what lands in Xero are yours. The nightly check exists to tell you when something does not add up — reading it is part of using the app.
For the personal data involved, you are the controller and Everysale is the processor. The app processes it only to provide the service described above, only on your instructions, and for no other purpose. It is never sold, shared, or used to train anything.
What that amounts to in practice is unusually little. The query the app sends Shopify asks for no customer fields, and personal data in webhook payloads is discarded before anything is written down. What is stored is order figures, dates and identifiers.
Sub-processors. DigitalOcean, which hosts the single server in New York where the app and its database run. Shopify and Xero themselves, which are your own providers rather than ours. There are no others: no analytics service, no error tracker, no advertising network.
Security. Traffic is encrypted in transit throughout. Shopify and Xero access tokens are encrypted at rest with a key held outside the database and outside its backups. Access to the server is by SSH key held by one person.
Deletion. Uninstalling erases your store's data after Shopify's 48-hour grace period, which exists so that an accidental uninstall followed by a reinstall does not lose your history. To have it erased sooner, or to ask what is held, write to the address below.
If something goes wrong. If a breach affects your data you will be told directly, within 72 hours of us becoming aware — with what is known at the time rather than a complete account days later.
Subscriptions are handled by Shopify and billed through your Shopify account. Everysale never sees a card number. Cancelling is done in Shopify and takes effect the way Shopify's billing describes; the app then stops syncing and your data is erased on uninstall as above.
The app runs on one server and is maintained by one person. It is built to fail visibly rather than quietly — an order it cannot post is reported, not skipped — but it is not promised to be available at every moment, and it is provided without warranty. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
If these terms change in a way that affects you, you will be told at the address Shopify holds for your store before it takes effect.
